See a performance a the Kennedy Center for Perfoming Arts.

Cross this off my list...
Palm Sunday April 5th 2009. Went with my best friend Kim to see an afternoon performance of Verdi's Requeim. The whole experience was unbelievable- Luckily the weather was absolutely gorgeous so we had the opportunity to take a stroll on the rooftop terrace and grab a glass of champagne before showtime. We were right in the midst of the action with front row seats by the cello section of the orchestra. The Washington Symphony Orchesta and Chorus gave a stirring rendition of the opera and the soloists were top notch. Hopefully I will be able to find more time to attend such events in the future. A+++ experience.

And of course since I went with my "double trouble twin", we had a giggle fit before the performance started but soon acted like the high society ladies that surrounded us. By far the funniest thing of the afternoon was when we were waiting in the grand foyer for the performance to begin and started standing SUPER close to men in tuxedos and taking pictures like we were with them (without their knowledge of course). Hoping that the pics turn out- so I can giggle all over again...
